Steak and Potato

Steak is a particular meat that makes people want it even more every time they try it. It is usually made of beef of high quality, can be bloody if preferable. You can cook it using the grill or in the skillet in its own juice. You know the steak is not eaten because of its health benefits. It is loved because of the particular feelings when it delivers juiciness, tenderness and flavor like no other dish of meat cannot provide.

The meat of different texture and size is chosen for this dish. They say that American beef is the best having more flavor and beautiful marbling painting of fat through the piece. It is a diversity of preparation but the classic one is not so difficult though rather tricky to do it at home.

First, the meat should be of room temperature before cooking, to achieve this result you can put it in a wrapper and immerse in warm water for half an hour. Then you should season the raw steak with salt and let it rest for 10 minutes – this simple secret creating an invisible protective layer provides even cooking.

And remember that a steak should not bubble in a fat or oil in the skillet. The cut should be greased a little bit in order not to stick to the surface of the grill pan. Another hint the skillet should be very hot before you put the meat into it.

But in this recipe we are not going to follow the above recommendations as we’ll cook it in a different way. Are you interested?

Recipe Notes

Enjoy simple and savory dinner! As you see steak here means only the kind of meat and not the popular dish itself. Perhaps the name could be something like stewed meat with potatoes but still we insist that it is important to take the steak to get the expected result.
