Pork Schnitzel

The schnitzel comes from Wien and there, in Austria, it is made of veal usually, though any kind of meat is preferred in other countries. In Germany they cook the pork schnitzel. The composition of breading and technique of cooking are almost the same. The result must be with a crispy layer of breading and juicy meat under it. There are several official variations of a recipe and they are very delicious in their own little way but being serving plain it is more authentic.

It seems being like an American steak but there is a difference. It is more complicated, involving more steps and ingredients. First of all a fresh rather large boneless piece of meat is taken and tenderized. Then a mixture of flour, egg, and salt is used as a cover for the prepared slice, which is breaded into it. The meat is fried. That’s it!

Sounds easy, but you should have some skills or just experience to do it perfectly and get a tasty piece of cooked pork. We are sure that you will succeed in it following our recipe step by step.

Remember an important thing – the meat no more than 1/4 inch thick should be well tenderized because it is expected to be cooked well during a short period of time over the high heat. Thus, you have the crispy crust outside and heated meant without raw parts inside.
