McDonalds strawberry banana smoothie

McDonalds strawberry banana smoothie

People often ask are there any healthy alternatives in Mc Donald’s? Generally McDonalds is not known for its love to healthy and low calories recipes which spooks away diet evangelists and fitness gurus. However, there is one simple answer – try their strawberry banana smoothie and see for yourself if that makes the weight numbers go up and to the right. Jokes apart, banana and strawberry smoothie from McDonalds is perfectly healthy moderately low caloric snack that is not nearly as bad as Dunkin Donuts smoothies. They don’t peel bananas there which adds a lot of fiber and further lowers caloric intake per ounce and add apple juice for extra freshness. So, if you found yourself starving in the McDonalds opt for a healthier snack such as small ice cone, or McDonalds strawberry banana smoothie, or even an unsweetened ice tea, and you should be in a clear about its consequences. And if you’ve come to like it, please check out the recipe and treat yourself at home!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1/2 cup banana slices
  • 10 ounces frozen sliced strawberries

Instructions

  1. Unlike many other recipes this one is totally insensible to change of frozen slice strawberries with fresh ones. They taste pretty much the same, so there’s no need to spend extra and buy fresh strawberries.

  2. Combine all ingredients in the bowl and puree until smooth.

  3. Pour into glasses and let it warm a little bit so some ice cubes started to melt down. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Was first introduced by McDonalds back in 2010, this version though is significantly less abundant in sugars.
