Ever heard a saying: the less is more? That is exactly it: eating right, eating healthy, eating to lose weight does not have to be complicated, or has to require a lot of ingredients and cooking steps nor has to cost a fortune. Plain oatmeal actually contains everything you need to start the day – good carbs, lots of fiber and is extremely low fat.

The only thing it missing is a willpower to make one actually consume it on a regular basis when there are so many tempting alternatives around. Color oatmeal with a bit of skim milk and tiny spoon of honey to cut yourself some slack from hard-core dieting.

  • 1 pint of skim milk
  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp sault


  1. Heat the milk in a pot on medium

  2. Add oats, salt and honey 

  3. Cook for 3-4 minutes
