- 1 pound store-bought pie dough
- 3/4 pound cooked chicken breast
- 2 cup mixture of frozen vegetables
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- Salt and black pepper
In order to cook the dish faster, you should preheat oven to 3500 F.
Take a baking sheet, line it with some parchment paper preventing sticking.
Sprinkle flour on the work surface spreading it evenly and roll out the store-bought dough for pie making a rectangle. Cut it into four strips.
Now take a bowl and put chopped cooked chicken with vegetable mixture into it.
Then in other bowl you should whisk milk with flour and pour it to a saucepan.
Put the saucepan over the low heat and simmer it for 5 minutes. Let the milk get thick.
Pour this milky sauce over chicken and vegetables and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
Using a spoon put a mixture on every pie dough strip (just half of it) and fold over tops.
To seal the envelopes with fingers to ensure that filling remains inside.
Take a small bowl, crack the egg into it and add a tablespoon of water. Beat it. Brush the pies with egg wash and put them to a baking sheet.
Put the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
