Gordon Ramsay’s eggs baked in hash browns
Gordon Ramsay prepares the hash browns first. He never uses store-bought hash browns and always makes potatoes at home. He cuts potatoes in cubes and then keeps them in a freezer. When he is ready to cook, he’s taking them out and let them sit on the counter for 20 minutes. I think it’s a great idea for meal prep. He also has a secret flipping techniques and an amazing combination of ingredients. Follow the recipe and you will get a perfect eggs baked hash browns.
The bacon is everyone’s favorite and he expertly uses it to make a traditional breakfast combination more interesting. I took his advice and heated olive oil, then added the rest of the ingredients and put the bacon on top.

It's a mix of savory and sweet flavor, eggs are nicely baked and you get crunch from the bacon. It requires a bit of effort but the result is definitely worth it. This can be your next go-to recipe!
- 3 potatoes, shredded
- 1 onion, shredded
- 5 ml salt
- 5 ml pepper
- 75 ml olive oil
- 30 ml butter
- 4 eggs
- 8 ml paprika
- 5 ml pepper
- 2 stalks onions, chopped
- 2 handfuls cilantro
- 2 handfuls cheddar cheese
Preheat the oven to 375F. Take a food processor, shred potatoes and onions. Add the mixture into a strainer. Place a bowl underneath it. Add olive oil, pepper and salt, mix everything together.
Squeeze the mixture. It should release a lot of liquid. Discard it. Take a pan and place it over medium heat. Add olive oil.
Add potatoes on the pan, cook it for 3 minutes. Add butter, wait until it melts. The bottom of the mixture should be brown. Cover the pan, flip the mixture over. Hash brown will be on the plate.
Place it back in the pan with the brown side up. The other side should be brown as well, it takes around 3 minutes. Add eggs to the mixture. Add paprika, onions, cilantro and pepper. Add cheddar cheese.
Bake the mixture for 12 minutes. The eggs should be wet. Remove the pan from heat, let the hash browns cool down. Serve warm with your favorite toast.
