Casserole play an important role in families meal plan. This holds true especially for friend visiting from out of town. You spend some time on preps the night before and then the next day when they arrive you have a bigger chance to spend more time with friends and family and yet treat your guests with a delicious breakfast (in fact, people eat casseroles as lunch too).

French toast breakfast casserole recipe

A variation of casserole with French toast.

  • 8 ounce loaf crusty French bread
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar


  1. Melt butter in a pan, stir in 1 cup of brown sugar

  2. Pour the mix into the baking tray

  3. Put bread cubes to cover the baking tray surface

  4. In a separate bowl mix vanilla extract, eggs, and milk. Pour it over the bread

  5. Place the baking tray into the refrigerator

  6. In 8 hours or later pre-heat oven to 440 degrees (F), and place the baking tray into the oven

  7. Bake for 40 minutes
