  • 1 pound crabmeat (pasteurized or fresh)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tsp seasoning
  • 1.5 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1.25 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt to taste


  1. Put crab in a bowl. Set aside.

  2. Take another mixing bowl and crack the eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, salt, Worcester sauce, and seasonings into it. Whist the mixture thoroughly.

  3. Pour the above liquid mass in the bowl with the crab and stir them all to cover the meat with the sauce.

  4. Now you can sprinkle the parsley and add breadcrumbs to the crab. Combine thoroughly again to achieve the even mixing. 

  5. Cover the bowl with the a kind of dough made of eggs, bread and crab with a plastic wrap and put it in a fridge, let it rest during a couple of hours.

  6. Take the crabs mixed with all the above ingredients from the refrigerator and make cakes about 1 inch thick.

  7. Take an electric griddle, grease it with a mixture of butter and oil using a special brush and put it over medium heat.

  8. Put the cakes to the griddle and cook them during about 5 minutes on both sides. They are expected to be golden brown.

  9. The garnish may be different. Choose any one: vegies, rice, mashed potatoes. 

  10. Serve warm.
