These are the toasts made of the particular national flat bread, which is cooked in a particular way and known as tortilla. But the key moment here the salsa sauce, also typical to this nation. It is usually tomato-based and rather spicy due to chili added in it.

  • 8 piece tostadas
  • 1 cup cooked beans
  • 4 cups cooked chicken
  • 2 cups lettuce
  • 1 piece red onion
  • 8 piece radishes
  • 1 cup feta cheese
  • 1 tbsp sour cream


  • 8 oz tomatillos (chopped in large pieces)
  • 1 piece avocado
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 piece chili
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper


  1. Take the tostadas and put the warm refried beans onto each sheet. 

  2. Then take the boiled chicken and lettuce shred them and top on the beans.

  3. The onion and radishes should be sliced into thin rings and added to the dish.

  4. Place the pieces of cheese on the top and drizzle with sour cream.

  5. Finally add a dollop of salsa.

  6. Serve immediately.

In order to prepare fresh tomatillo-avocado Salsa

  1. Take a bowl, put the peeled tomatillos, flesh of avocado, cilantro, chili, and lemon juice into it and mix the components with a blender making a smooth paste.

  2. Season the salsa with salt and pepper to taste and put it into refrigerate for about 2 hours.

  3. Now you can use it.
