This is one of the simplest recipe that requires ingredients that you probably have at home or in the nearest grocery store. A nutritious breakfast doesn’t have to be complicated and this Canadian breakfast proves the point like nothing else. It will keep you full throughout the day and you won’t crave for something sweet in the evening. Eggs are rich in protein that our bodies need so badly.

This is also a great recipe for camping. It features a delicious sauce that you can meal prep a day before and then just put everything together in 10 minutes. You can get creative and experiment with the fillings.

My favorite breakfast recipes are the easiest. I usually don't have much time in the morning and this Canadian bacon recipe is one of my favorites. Cooking eggs is very easy and bacon adds more flavor to the dish. This is a fast favorite recipe that you can put together in no time at all.

  • 450 hash browns
  • 8 scrambled eggs
  • 8 Canadian bacon
  • 30 ml diced red bell peppers
  • 1/2 yellow onions, diced
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 5 ml salt
  • 5 ml pepper
  • 20 ml salsa for the topping


  1. Take a skillet and drizzle it with olive oil. Pour hash brown into the skillet and cook until ready over medium heat. Hash browns should become crispy. Season them with salt and peppers, then remove from heat and set aside.

  2. Add bell peppers and onions into the skillet. Cook for 10 minutes or until the vegetables become soft and translucent. Place them in a bowl. Cut the bacon into small pieces, warm them up in the skillet for a minute. Add the bacon to potatoes.

  3. Place the skillet over medium heat, add eggs and scramble for 2 minutes. When the eggs are set but still moist, add everything you've prepared so far. Toss all ingredients together. Serve in individual plates with salsa or your favorite bread.
