Longing for real Taco Bell experience at home? Homemade crunchwrap tastes great especially the flour tortilla texture and flavor, fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy hash brown.

The good thing is that at home you can put more stuffing or adjust contents of ingredients you like the most, e.g. put more bacon. Speaking of which, you can chop it in different sizes and it completely alters the taste. My suggestions will be to play with the size of bacon pieces and amount of scrambled eggs.

  • 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1 cup shredded monterey jack
  • 4 frozen hash brown patties
  • kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped chives
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tbsp whole milk
  • 1 tbsp butter

Sauce ingredients:

  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1 jalapeño, minced


  1. Unfreeze hash browns in the microwave and cook as per instructions on the box

  2. In a bowl stir sour cream, jalapeño, paprika, salt and pepper. The sauce will be used later 

  3. In a smaller bowl crack eggs, add milk and mix it a little bit

  4. In a pan melt some butter, then pour the content of the smaller bowl to the heated pan, add salt and pepper to taste. Add chopped chives on the top. This will be the scrambled egg component

  5. Put jalapeno sauce into the center of each tortilla. Then on the top of that add hash brown patty, the scrambled egg component, cheddar, bacon and cheese. Wrap tortillas around the content 

  6. Place pan onto the heat and add few drops of oil, place tortillas (along with its content) one by one and flip them after they become golden. It should take not more than 5 minutes

  7. Cut each crunchwrap in halves
