What is a difference between burger and sandwich? What is burger? It is interesting to know when you choose this recipe to cook. The sandwich is something between two slices of bread, while burger is a bun cut into two equal parts and filled in with various products but the key ingredient is a cooked ground meat that can be fried in a frypan or barbecued. That is a big difference, you should agree.

There are even standards defining the quality of mince. By the way burger means both a dish and the patty. Though it is usually offered at fast-food restaurants, it can be cooked at home without difficulty. Thus, you can guarantee to get the taste you prefer. Here we are going to make a burger with eggs benedict that is also traditional American food. They say that the idea was developed in 1860. This is a half of a bun covered with poached egg, bacon and hollandaise sauce – delicious and peculiar to cuisine of USA. Here we add a burger and get a nutritious meal for those who are fond of solid hearty breakfast.

Burger is a meal for hundred-per-cent he-man and not only! This is a simple and nutritious dish being convenient to eat and including various products as a filling. Now we are going to put the eggs benedict inside adding beef burger and rich sauce. That is the best combination!

Ingredients

Ingredients sauce:

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • pepper

Ingredients burger:

  • 1 pound lean minced beef
  • 3 eggs poached
  • 3 slices bacon cooked to a crisp
  • 4 burger buns
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. For preparing burger you should have grill. Heat it to medium-high level.

  2. Find a heatproof bowl and add water and make it simmer. Now you should mix egg yolks with water and whisk quickly and intensively preventing them to get boiled. Do it during 5 minutes, which are needed to make a mixture thick. 

  3. Remove from heat and add lemon juice stirring thoroughly. 

  4. Divide the stick of unsalted butter into 8 pieces and add 2 pieces at a time, wait until they are melted. Season with salt and pepper. Continue whisking. If the sauce becomes too thick you can add 1 or 2 teaspoons of hot water.

  5. Take ground beef and season it with a black pepper, salt and a little bit of Worcestershire. Stir thoroughly.

  6. Divide the ready beef mixture into 4 equal parts and make patties.

  7. Cook each patty on the grill for about 5 minutes each side, until they are cooked. 

  8. Now you can arrange a burger. Take buns and put inside meat, egg, crispy bacon, a spoonful of hollandaise sauce.

Recipe Notes

Of course the dishes made of beef are not usually served for the morning meal but if you take the minced beef, cook it and arrange together with Eggs Benedict, you’ll get the reasonable solution. Such burger will satisfy the taste of the most demanding eaters. And for sure nobody will be remained hungry. Start your day with delicious and filling meal!
