Banana smoothie with yogurt

There are so many talks about yogurt and you know I have never been greatly fond of it because, in general, dairy products are not my favorite foods. I understand how beneficial they are but still I do not like lactose, you know.

Just a couple of years back my sister-in-law gave me a bottle of organic yogurt made by one local producer and I have changed my opinion radically. That was simple yogurt without sugar or flavors but produced of the best milk ever. It tasted so good that I have been using it for smoothie very often since that time.

In general yogurt is beneficial for your health and that is not a secret. Still I want to discuss the moment. It is nutritious and dietary boosting various aspects of the organism activity. We know that the milk is fermented with particular bacteria to get this beverage. Remember that yogurt can be made of any kind of milk, but as to me I prefer the one made by cows.

The consumers of yogurt can even reduce risk of osteoporosis. It is good for weight management because it improves the digestion and fastens metabolism. It contains calcium necessary to keep our bones and teeth in order, B vitamin, phosphorus, potassium and other elements. Then, it is full of protein supporting metabolism helping you to burn the calories you consume during a day. Moreover, it regulates appetite. If you choose the yogurt with probiotics, you will benefit the digestive health. But to be sure that the product contains them, choose the one which includes active cultures listing on a label. Taking into account all the above you can be sure that the yogurt strengthens your immune system if you consume it on a regular basis. Unfortunately, if you suffer from lactose intolerance or milk allergy, you have to refuse this recipe to avoid various unpleasant digestive symptoms which appear when you consume dairy products. There are a lot other versions of smoothie and you can try them.

But if you are free of the lactose intolerance, you will enjoy this smoothie made on the basis of yogurt. Especially it makes sense to try it if you are a lover of bananas as I am. I am crazy of this fruit. I can eat bananas every single day. By the way, have you heard that you can put them in a blender without peeling increasing the amount of fiber which is very good for your gut. Honestly speaking, I prefer to peel. In this case the taste is milder and more delicate, I would say. The banana is full of protein and nutrition. It provides creamy texture of smoothie and fills you up with energy. I recommend you to take only ripe bananas. I choose even overripe ones in order to guarantee the bright flavor and needed sweetness which allows you doing without sugar.

This smoothie is extremely easy to prepare. You will succeed without any doubt!

Just wash and peel the fruits, put them in a jug of your blender, mix during a couple of minutes to make puree and add yogurt. By the way if you want, it is possible to replace yogurt with organic kefir which is also very beneficial for your health as any probiotic products but has more prominent taste. Moreover, you can take milk of any kind including the delicate almond milk being low in calories and still reducing heart disease and problems with bones and teeth. By the way you can choose the enriched one high in vitamin D. I know they are marketed. Then you skin will be glowing as new one.
