Bacon and Egg Casserole Recipe Breakfast – All in One
Bacon and eggs casserole - the meal that is cooked fast being extremely nutritious that is why it suits brunches most of all. You can serve it with vegetables, muffins, tea or coffee – perfect start of the day! It will take little time and efforts but it delivers upon expectations without any doubt, and it can be left for tomorrow because it is nice even without reheating.
- 4 bacon strips
- 18 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup green onions (sliced)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Prepare a large skillet and put it on the stovetop.
Take bacon and cook it over medium heat. It should be crisp and golden-brown.
Drain the cooked bacon on paper towel and set it aside to cool.
Take a large bowl.
Crack the eggs in it.
Add milk, cheese, sour cream, onions, salt and pepper and stir the ingredients thoroughly.
Now you will need a baking dish 13x9” in size. Grease it slightly and pour the above mixture into it.
Crumble the fried bacon into small pieces and sprinkle them on top.
Heat the oven up to 325°.
Put the dish in it and cook the meal during 40-45 minutes.
In order to prove readiness of the mixture, take a knife and insert it in the center of the dish up to the bottom, pull it away and check the knife-edge. If it’s clean, the dish is cooked.
Remove from the fire and let it stand for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
