Apple is unjustly overlooked in smoothie recipes. The reason being is that apple contains too much fiber and gives a hard and thick structure. Apple is great source of fiber as it contains around 12% of daily intake. But if you don’t like to feel pieces of apple in your smoothie peel it before blending.
However, some people prefer to bite delicious richly flavored apples instead of putting them into their drinks. Try it both ways, and see to which group do you belong!
Apple banana orange juice smoothie
Unjustly overlooked classic apple banana orange juice smoothie.
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup flavored yogurt
- 1 banana
- 1 apple
- 1/2 cup orange juice
Peel apple and banana.
Chop apple into 8 pieces and banana into 2.
Blend all the ingredients for 1 minute until smooth.
Add 6-8 ice cubes to increase thickness. Orange juice could be from concentrate.
